This is the second full day of a (in theory) fourteen day ceasefire between Iran and the US. Israel is reluctantly going a long for the ride. I had the (rare) foresight to bite my tongue and wait to see what was really going on when Iran and the Progressive Left media rolled out the list of ten “demands” that Trump had allegedly conceded too. This was a lie of course – the US never agreed to that list – but Iran got to claim victory for the sake of its loyalists who where giddy with excitement and celebrating in the streets of Tehran. And the progressive Media, which hates its western heritage, pushed a false narrative that Iran has weathered the storm and stood up to the US.
The Iranian regime took a whoopin’ and they know it. They are buying time and trying to avoid what comes next. Israel and the US have fire power to spare and they know that too. Which bring me to the great Sean Connery who asked Elliott Ness (Kevin Costner) in the Untouchables – “What are you prepared to do?” (They’re sitting in a church). The IRGC is a terrorist organization and the destruction of Israel and the possession and use of nuclear weapons is baked into their apocalyptic ideology of hate. Unless there is REAL regime change, it is not a matter of if but merely when. We will have to fight this fight again. Without moral clarity there can be no political clarity – and without political clarity there can be no military will.
